About the Opportunity

Seven Point Australian Pork, a division of JBS Australia, is the largest protein processing facility in the country. Strategically situated in Port Wakefield Pork (5550), the facility is conveniently located just 24 km from Balaklava and approximately 60 km from Kadina. Currently, we are actively seeking individuals to join our team in various roles, including Packers, Labourers and Skilled Knife Hands.

For eligible onshore candidates who already possess full working rights, we offer a pathway to visa sponsorship. We provide both skilled and unskilled full-time employment opportunities, ensuring long-term career growth for the right applicants.

Job Availability and Work Schedule

Our work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, with early morning shifts extending into the afternoon. Each position guarantees a minimum of 38 working hours per week, with additional overtime available based on operational requirements. Weekend and public holiday shifts may also be offered on an optional basis, allowing employees the flexibility to increase their earnings.

Primary Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will be expected to contribute to a structured and efficient work environment while upholding our safety and quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing various general processing tasks, such as:
    • Packing retail and wholesale meat cuts according to production specifications.
    • Handling and operating specialized equipment, including Line Strappers and Net Loaders.
    • Engaging in continuous learning with potential opportunities for Knife Hand training and career progression.
  • Complying with all production quality guidelines and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards.
  • Demonstrating reliability and commitment through consistent attendance and performance.
  • Executing skilled Knife Hand duties, including trimming and boning meat products efficiently.

Shift Details

Our shifts vary based on availability, with standard working hours as follows:

  • Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:36 PM
  • Alternate Morning Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:36 PM

Employees may have the opportunity to work overtime depending on production demands.
